Re: Buying a 156
I would have thought that £3k for an '02' plate car with 80k on the clock is a bit high in these turbulant times, though I could be wrong
With the price of petrol, plus that its coming up to christmas, he can probably make a cheeky offer and get it.
As an example I bought a 'w' reg 2000 model (i wanted one no newer than thsi to get the cheaper tax), with 67,000 on the clock, in excellant body condition but a few bits to change - exhaust back box, radiator, electric window switch MAF). The dealer wanted £2000 for it, with hardly any negotiations at all, I got it for £1400 (I asked can he do it cheaper. He said £1500, I said £1300, he said £1400 and i bought it)
I actually regret not fighting a harder bargain which im sure i could have got because slowly there were a few more problems that developed after purchase
