156 2ltr TS Selespeed
I have just bought 1 in the last month on a 'X' plate.
Never had ana Alfa before so all new to me. Car had 40,500 on the clock and now just over 41K.
Service book said it had had new timimg belt and that done, and from what I can see the aux. belt looks new. New brakes all round and i think the dics too. Service book has stamps from Arnold Clark. Due to ill health and comming out of hospital, I wanted to give the car a good going over (as best as I can as I get real tired).
The expansion tank is low on coolant and shows no Anti Freeze at the minimum level let alone any at all in it. I bought some today (blue in colour) to top it it up but was not sure if you can mix with exesting, but bottle said it was ok to do so. Any ideas?
Also want to make sure that there is any othere special areas that I should check that might catch me out that I should check. Car drives very well and does not judder or show any faults at all when driving.
Also, any of the Aberdeen owners of the 156's seen any cars in the breaker yard that you can still remove parts from by yours self. Any assistance / advice would be very welcome, as it the best car I have ever had so far.
I still sit in it on the drive and just go no where as its sooooooooooooo comfy to sit in (had bone marrow taken from my lower spine, and the seat real help even they are only cloth ones).
Also, i have tried to find what spec the car car had from the factory. I know it has 16" alloys, side skirts front fogs, air con (that for the life of me cant figure out how to work).
Smile factor out of 10........................its a 10.
