This is my first post here on alfaowner.com and I hope it wont be the last!
Little info on myself firstly..
Im 20, work for Visa and live in Sydney, but the most important and relevant part is the fact that ive just bought a new Alfa!
So which Alfa did I get?
2002 AlfaRomeo 147 Selespeed!
- Black 3dr
- Tan Leather
- Electric Sunroof
- Bose Sound
- 17" Supersport
- 6 Disc CD Stacker
I bought the car from Rick Damelian in Sydney for those of you that are in Australia.
All up the car on the road was $52,000 but I managed to drive the car away for $47,000.
The dealer is fitting the door trim in tan leather also for free!
I had originally opted for the sports seats, but after actually seeing them, I quickly changed my order to the tan standard seats as they were much more striking to the eye!
I have not picked up the car just yet, but the dealer tells me it shouldnt be more than 2 weeks. Its been hell the past 3 days, I cant imagine what my mind will be like in 2 weeks if its not ready.
Im sure you guys have seen a million pictures of alfa's but ill post a few pics I found online which got me interested in the first place.
I chose the 3 door simply because it sets the stance of the car off better I think. Much more aggressive looking.
Ive already got my first mod planned... simple one really.. Im going to change that ugly orange blinker with a nice clear one. I hope we can get them here in Australia without too many hassles.
I didnt even bother to test drive the Manual version of the 147, even though im a Manual freak and hate automatics. I found the Selespeed to be just incredible, I dont know how else to explain it.
Id love to meet up with the other Sydney folk once I get my new Alfa. I noticed that Justin from Australianinfront.com.au hangs out here! Be good to meet up as I read those forums alot.
If anyone wants to icq me im contactable on 18811789
Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself and give you a little info on my situation at the moment. Cant wait for delivery so I can really call myself an Alfa owner and mean it!
