Holts Speedflush

Hi All,

Going to replace my radiator (if you can call it that at the moment) with a nice new shiny one, as well as the thermomstat, on Friday.

Just wondering if anyone has used Holts Speed Flush before prior to draining out the coolant. To be honest, I have changed quite a few radiators before, and have always used it, but not in the way the directions say.

Apparently you are not supposed to use this when there is anti freeze in the coolant - to be honest, I always have. I have never noticed this on the label before, so I don't know if its a new packaging or what.

So basically what they are saying is you have to drain the existing coolant, part refill with fresh water, put in the speedflush, top up with fresh water on top and run up to temperature. So in theory, you have to drain the system twice before you can add fresh water and antifreeze!

I don't want to do the opposite of what the directions on the bottle say, although I was just curious as to if anyone else has just added it straight to the system!
