Fuse box on 147

Hi Everyone

I have just brought a 147 (x reg) and need to get to the fuse box in the cabin to replace the cigar lighter fuse.

Simple question... can anyone tell me where the fuse box is... I'm guessing it should be under the steering wheel but I can't see it.

Also I am getting a cluncking / knocking noise from the passenger side front wheel area when I go over bumps... recent MOT advice mentioned: Offside front suspensionhas slight play in a upper suspension ball joint.
Could this be what is causing the noise and is it expensive to fix?

Thanks all... great site.

I think mine (2004) is under the steering wheel area. You should see 2 screws at the top of the lower cover, then it just swings down towards the pedals, and your fuses appear.

The clonking on your passenger side can be fixed by replacing the upper wishbone. For a guide on how to do it yourself follow this link:

How To... Change Upper Front Wishbone on an Alfa 147/156/GT

Spares should cost about £50.

Good luck
