Re: Collecting new cloverleaf GT tomorrow (at last)
Well collection didn't go as smoothly as it should have, biggest issue was a damaged and poorly re-painted front bumper, also a couple of paint chips and the valet was pretty poor.
within an hour the bumper had been changed and other bits rectified to my satisfaction so i accepted it and decided to valet it properly myself when i got home (it's black so has the usual new car minor swirls etc).
I am glad I did accept it because it is better than my old GT, the clutch is nice and light (always thought my old car was heavy) which makes it a much nicer drive and it looks stunning. It goes pretty well too, on the M6 toll road I was nipping along a bit (quite a bit actually) when a BMW pulled up alongside flashed all the blue lights at me and then went on to pull over the Merc that was in front !
A little bit of wind noise at high speed although there was a strong crosswind, a rattle in the boot (loose locking wheel nut kit) and a small mark on the gear knob.
So not really good first impression at dealer but they were running around to sort it and did so result ok.
