The wifes 147

I have bought my wife a 147 1.6TS with which we are pleased. I keep getting messages saying the left side light failure and brake light failure when all lights are working. I have thought it could be a dodgy connection on one of the bulb holders. Also, I have thought about doing an ECU reset by disconnecting the battery for a few hours. Unfortunately, we don't have a code for the stereo. Is there a way to find it out if I give you the reg number.
Thanks in advance

Re: The wifes 147

For the radio code I think you'll have to contact a dealer (Alfa dealer that is ) ... as for your lights issue this MIGHT be rev counter that is faulty ... apparently they easy to change ... don't quote me on that because I haven't personally done it!!!

Oh yes and great choice of car

Re: The wifes 147

It will be a bulb.

We had this and the damn bleeper kept going. The lights seemed OK but I changed the ones the error messages highlighted (after taking the old ones out and cleaning the connections which made no difference).

New bulbs and silence.

Re: The wifes 147

What Paul said, I had constant rear fog light error on my first 147, turned out the bulb was malformed and not connecting right. Sidelights are fairly common things to go, I was forever getting em replaced in the old 147 and both have gone in 4 months in the GTA pain in the arse but nothing to stop me enjoying the car
