156 front no. plate
As you guys probably know, beneath the plastic no. plate 'platform' screwed into the front bumper, there is a smaller platform, actually moulded into the front bumper onto which the smaller (and neater) Italian number plate fits. Is it possible to have made up (and indeed legal) a smaller front no. plate, unscrew the top platform and mount the smaller plate directly onto the bumper as God intended when he designed the 156 (as he undoubtedly did)? Can't remember what car it was (maybe a TVR) but I have seen these smaller plates before. Wanna do it, don't wanna get done by the Bill.
Also Claudia (for it is she) is approaching her 1st birthday, whereupon I will be treating her with a sump full of fully synthetic for the 1st time (and every time thereafter),the running in phase now fully completed. What are everyone's thoughts on the use of Slick 50 or a similar compound at the same time? 'Good', 'waste of time' or 'damage the oilways, mate'? Answers on a postcard. wink
