1.6 147 Turismo

On saturday I had my first drive of the 1.6. It was the dealer loan car and filthy dirty with a big dent above the headlamp, and bog standard.

I could not live with it. You have to rev the nuts off of it to get it to go anywhere and the low down power is pathetic for a car that heavey, but once wound up it went like a somewhat terrified rabbit attached to an overloaded rocket.

Its only when you get soemthing like this you realise how nice your own car is and that it really was worth paying the extra.

Kudos to Alfa for building a 1.6 engine with 120bhp....

But I tend to think it would be a bit overwhelmed with the weight of the car.

My two pennies:

I tend to agree that a 2.0 is better than the 1.6 (120bhp).

I just wish that at the time of ordering the car, I could have found an insurance company that would cover me for the Selspeed... unfortunately, I have to invest more money in tuning my 147 in order to get close to the Selespeed's performances... but it WILL happen soon...
