Bunyip needs help
I have just had the cambelt service done on my 147 2.0 and I am left with a odd ticking noise? It sounds a little rattley at start up and on the overrun. I am aware the variators fail, having had a barchetta in the past though this isnt as 'dieselly' as that was. Any ideas, is it the variator or a poorly fiited cambelt? It climbs lovely through the revs and power seems fine.
What damage can a dodgy variator do?
How expensive is the variator change?
Also, creaky left front lower suspension arm. Is it better to change the whole arm or just the bushes? Is it worth ungrading to powerflex items? Any advice would be greatly appreciated as money is tight having just had the service done.
