GT Clutch Pedal

Hi all,

Ive done a search on this and opinions seem to vary from just needing to spray a bit of mr sheen on it to almost certain pending doom!

My clutch is doing a couple of very annoying things...

1: Creaks like hell
2: Feels like it catches on something in the first inch or so of movement, but movement fine after that.

Any advice would be much appreciated

Re: GT Clutch Pedal

Had the same problem (creaking at least) for a while. My specialist reckons it's down to the design of the plastic/rubber make up of the slave cylinder. His advice to me was if it really annoys me it can be swapped fairly easily, at not a great expense, or I can learn to live with it.

So far I've opted for the latter, but will get it sorted at the next service. It functions as it should, just is a bit on the noisy side.

Oh, and a well known dealer also told me the same story.

Re: GT Clutch Pedal

if the creak comes from under the battery then its a the slave cylinder otherwise it could be the master or bush under your foot.

Try greesing it up

Mine creaks as well. It's a relatively recent development. I'm thinking slave....will get it looked at when I get the clutch done. It's not a progressive bites at the end of travel and if not done carefully it judders a bit. No slippage but I'm sure it can be adjusted to make 1st gear starts smoother.
