A soon-to-be ex-155er is asking for your advice!
I need to replace the 155 with something a bit more current, a bit less prone to electrical issues, with parts widely available. A 156 sounds about right.
Can't go for diesel though.
What do you think of the following? It's an October 2005, 156 2.0 JTS Sterling Grey, Distinctive, with about 25,000 miles on the odometer for EUR 9,300, i.e. about 7,500 GBP, 1 year warranty
Of course I haven't seen the car just yet, and there are no pics, and no, I haven't asked for the VIN or a report just yet, and my mechanic hasn't seen the car. All that will happen.
To me, the price sounds right (knowing I'm an American dude working overseas in Naples, Italy) at about $2,000 less than the price of a 2008 Honda Civic DX in the US, pre-tax. Sorry, that's my only data point.
But as a 155 owner, I wonder if the price is right or possibly betrays a broken cambelt - car has 25,000 miles. How often do these get changed on the JTS engine?
What else do I particularly need to look at?
Anybody with pics of the interior for a similarly-spec'ed JTS?
Ciao da Napoli!!!
