You will see that there are other things on this site concerning the 147.
There are also two forums, one in English and one in French.
The goal is not hollowing to compete this forum but to make the tie between the French-speaking and the rest of world (via the English), brief, to unite the best of two worlds.
Johnny. Nice car. I liked having a good look around at all the modifications you've made inside and out.
The Novitec pedals and handbrake lever look hot. Love them. What have you done with your headlights? Looks cool, is that some sort of sticker application? It looks like the MS Design eyelids only thinner. I'd appreciate it if you told me where you bought those headlight mods!
Want to thank's everybody for your visits (more than 200 on the fisrt day)and your compliments.
This site will live and change as ever as possible so, come back again.....and feel free to use the forum. ;-)
Johnny I notice you have the red leather. I'm still trying to picture the colour of the leather in the flesh. I saw a GTV in a showroom which had red leather and I assume it is the same tone as the 147. From what I remember the GTV red leather seemed quite dark compared to the pics on your site.
Is this correct and the camera you used has over exposed the pics? They seem a bit washed out compared to the GTV I saw.
The color of leather on the photos is nearly identical to the reality.
Photos are not over exposed and I've used a Fuji 6900 digital camera without flash.
I'm not sure that the GTV leather is Momo leather ; I've seen red leather in a 166 and it was more "red" than mine.
It's very difficult to choose the colour on pics and I've ordered red leather only because I've get the chance to see a 147 with red leather in the showroom the day I've ordered.
And I love it.....
The red leather in the brochure definitely looks more like the GTV red but that's a studio shot so it's hard to tell if it is acurate and may have been colour treated.
I also agree that the red in 156 and 166 is more 'red' than your photos which have dare I say it a slightly pinkish hue to them. I have seen a few 156's in my local area with sterling silver and red leather and that deiniftely appears darker than your photos.
Guess I'll have to take the chance I will love it. I'm sure I will
147 2.0 Selespeed - Gabianno Blue - Red Momo Leather - 17" Super Sports - Sunroof - 10 CD Changer - Connect Nav+ - Climate Pack - Winter Pack
For the Handbrake lever, it's easy, just cut the original gummy to remove it, put the new aluminium one and screw it ! it takes 5 minutes !
The gearknob on the selespeed is a little more special !
Easy to remove If you know how (let say 10 minutes).
It's difficult to explain but you can go to this link, the pics are talking themself (and If you can read japanese, you'll also get text explanations !). http://www.italiazakka.co.jp/italia/.../Chapter3.html
Be carefull, the original Gearknob is fitted with a kind of metallic ring. You need to cut it to remove the knob. It will say that you need a new ring If you want to fit the original one again : I've used a screwed metallic ring of 17 mm.
If you need other explanations, feel free to send me a mail here or through my site http://www.infostep.be/alfa147
You just need to be patient for the answer cause I'll be abroad on Hollidays for 2 weeks till saturday.
