Girlfriends 147 has not even got 1000Kms on the clock and some noises are already coming from the dash board.....
I remeber reading some where here in the forum that some people had the same... The solution I think was to put some sort of material inside the dash...is this correct? Was it the dealer who came up with this solution or was it a 147 owner?
If it was the dealer, did this ideia come from Alfa in Italy, i.e. do Alfa know that this will happen to some cars and so they already have a solution?
I have an incredibly annoying squeak, but that one is from the glove compartment lid, and I don't know how to fix it yet. As far as I've udnerstood, people have had sounds from the centre air vent, and they've put silicone in there to make it stop. Best thing is to have it brought in to the dealer and make them fix it I think... ?
I have a weird rattle from the left handside, just behind my seat. I think it's from the plug which contains all the electric wires of my left back passenger door. At gave it a little shake and it sounds like it's the one.....I think!
I don't know exactly what it is, or where exactly it is coming from.
There is a rattle when I accelerate and brake, it sounds as if it is coming from inside the passenger's door.
I thought it was something to do with the seatbelt so I tried driving with the passenger seat belt buckled and also with someone else sitting with the belt on and on both occaisions, the rattle was still present...
I don't really want to go back to the dealer in case they screw up the car further...
I had a very annoying squeak in my dashboard as well. I took my 147 to the dealership and they couldn’t find the cause of the rattle. A couple of months later my cruise control wasn’t working anymore and to get to the control unit behind the instrument panel they removed the instrument panel. But after they put the instrument panel back, I got a bonus I wasn’t expecting: my dash was suddenly (and still is) rattle free! It was all about tightening the screws again.
