color wear of leather seats

maybe this is a non isue, but i would like to know this as well.
if i were to buy a 147 with red leather seats, is it possible that after x years, the red starts to wear off???
my friend drives a vw golf with black and yellow leather seats and the yellow starts to wear off.

I would realy like leather seats, but if the color is gone in a few years, then i will think again about buying colored leather seats.

anyone hod some advice about this (maybe how to keep them with there full color??).

You lucky guy!

Sadly I don't have leather seats, but I would love to have the red leather seats! Sorry I can't give you any advice on how to take care of leather seats, but I would say "Go, live your life and take the red leather seats!". You have my blessing!

Yes lucky you!. I would also love to have the red leather seats.

Dont think about the color after x years, the exterior body color could be worn since then!!!!

(just kiddin, sorry for the black humour)

Make sure you keep taking care of leather with special treating and refreshing products you ll find on the market.

I have some leather seats in my Fiat X1/9 which I recoloured from Red to Black. There are many specialists out there who will sell you dyes for re-colouring leather or getting rid of general wear. I used for mine.

If I were you, which I'm not (You'd better be gratefull) I'd go for a more subtle colour. Leather upholstery fabricated in grey or black seems to last longer ( I work with cars ). I recently had an option to buy either black or red leather, and no matter how tempted I was to go for the red one, I just couldn't do it.

I have red leather seats in my silver 2ltr 147. I've had no problems with colour wear. Red is the only colour leather to buy. They really brighten up the inside of the car.

Red is passionate, red is sexy, red is GOOD.

If the colour starts to fade, it can be re-dyed, if it wears from your arse truning on the seats, studs in jeans, etc... well thats another issue but can be repaired. Keep them soft, keep them supple, feed twice a year and clean with a suitable product that itself does not fade the colour.
