Speedo sticking on 60mph!

Oh dear, it doesn't seem to be clearing up with use - picked up my new 156 last weekend (facelift, 2005) and the speedo sticks on 60mph when dropping down from higher speeds. A sharp rap on the glass clears it but I can't leave it like this.

I suppose it's a new speedo, yes? No way of getting into the unit to apply some lube or whatever?

And presumably, there is no way of bringing a new speedo up to my current mileage, it'll have to start on zero?

Yes you can get the mileage set at what you require, used to be known as clocking but some of the mileage correction outfits can set the figure to whatever you want.

Usually about £50

He yGC, surely you've got a clock in your spares box with almost the required milage on???

PS, the V6 in Peterhead was a total dog. You'd have not wanted to fix her up.
