147 Pulls to near side under heavy braking

Does anyone have problems with their 147 pulling to one side under heavy braking?

I've just got my car (2.0 147, no mods) back from its 12K service where I also asked them to check the brakes because it was doing that, but they failed to find anything wrong with it. First they suggested I get the geometry checked and then they thought it might be a sticky caliper.

The problem is that it only pulls to one side when you brake heavily and at high speed, otherwise it's usually ok and seems to drive ok.

It surprises me how many brands suffer this problem on maby cars. Its more often than not a brake disc, but the ball joints have been known to cause problems on several brands. There are a number of concerns, but I'd have the discs looked at thoroughly first.

My brake discs were "warped" after 19,000km's, causing horrendous vibrations in the car during braking from high speed.

My dealer replaced the front set as a gesture of good will, although they would have certainly been in their right to just machine them.
