Cam belt change done!

Sorry havent had a chance to report back due to lack of time issues, but last week I managed to complete the cam belt change!

Also changed the variator, and gave the car a major service (spark plugs etc).

I knew that there is no reason why anything shouldnt work, but still, was really hoping it would start!

Anyway, started, and is running well!

So, cambelt variator and tensioners done,
72,000 mile service done,
jobs left to do are:
Replace sports exhaust with standard one,
Replace MAF sensor to a good bosch one (bought an aftermarket but dont think its running too well (though better than the current bosch), so will return and buy a good bosch one,
replace radiator,
replace front passenger electric window switch,
Replace front alfa badge.

Then, as far as I remember, the car will be fully up to scratch!

Well done mate

I wouldn't bother replacing the sports exhaust, they are ususally better quality than OEM exhaust parts. Just take it to your local exhaust place and tell them you want it to be quiet, they'll be able to weld in a silencer for ~£100 or so I'd have thought.
