What speed is most fuel efficient?
Firstly, what speed do the variators cut in?
I was wondering whether the car is better on fuel after the variators have operated or before?
Also, (from my college days) is running at peak torque more fuel efficient than peak power (stoichiometric efficiency etc)?
Having sat on the motorway for a few hours, i wondered what speed got the most fuel as 70mph was about 3100 revs and 80 was about 3700?
Got 33mpg over 800 miles in and around France, I'm quite pleased with that from a 2.0TS!
