Sticky speedo

Hi all,

picked up a little gremlin on the new car already . When I'm coming down from higher speeds, the speedo is sometimes sticking at 60. If I give it a sharp tap, then normal service is resumed! I nearly shat myself driving home from work late last night when I was approaching a 50mph camera-restricted stretch of dual carriageway. I slowed down just before it to what seemed about right, casually looked at the speedo and it was showing 60 - so I stamped on the brakes and it still didn't move. Then I realised what was going on! .

I know the car has been barely driven for the last 3mths or so, she's been on a garage forecourt with the odd test drive. Might it right itself, or am I looking at a new speedo?
