147 Front suspension

I have just bought the wife a Y reg 147 1.6TS
I managed to get a great discount because there is a squishing sound coming fron n/s front suspension every time you go over a bump.

I will be replacing the parts required. Any ideas what the most likely culprit is?

Upper wishbone, lower arm, drop link etc I'm not sure

Also, where is best place to get the spares from at reasonable cost?

On another point. I would like to change cambelt and variator. Is this an easy job on TS engines. I have changed the belt on my 156 v6 but have never worked on a TS

Idea Re: 147 Front suspension

The noise is likely the drop link or top wishbone.

If you can change 24V V6 belts then you can do TS belts. The cams lock in the same way, and you use the same dial guage and attachment to find TDC. A cam lock kit will be required and that will be about 45.
