Perry's Amersham/Aylesbury, Desira Hayes

Anybody have any experience of any of these guys for servicing and repairs ?
Wondering which to try when I need them.
Do any of them display 'attitude' towards imported cars ?
Cheers !

Hi m8,

I recently bought my 147 from Desira in Hertford. I did visit the Aylesbury branch but was confronted by the pushiest sales woman ever ! lol

The salesman at the Hertford branch was helpful but the car (1 year old) wasnt serviced as promised upon collection. Therefore I have to take it back ASAP for the 15,000 mile service to be done.

I don't know how they would react to imports but there is a dealer in St Alabans who sells imported cars, this may be your best option.

I can't help much except to say that the sales side of Amersham is dire compared to Aylesbury. When I arrived at Amersham for a pre booked test drive, they told me the car wasn't there as somebody had gone sick. I asked why they hadn't rung me and they just shrugged.

Aylesbury on the other hand were anything but pushy, never chased me and I tested 3 different cars there. They also gave me nearly £2000 of the list price, which was £700 better than Milton Keynes or West London.

Any dealer would understandably put there own customers before an import, but I'm not sure this would be to much of an issue.

My car broke down on the day of delivery and Aylesbury took 4 days to fix it. Its now broken down again (well, it is a month old now) and they are going to collect it next week.

No problems with the dealer - just the car.

Have used Amersham for servicing and warranty work.Collected car on time, very efficient,no quibbles so far.The dealer in St Albans is Coupers. They used to be an Alfa francise until very recently.Bought our Spider from them and found them to be generally very helpful. If they hadn`t lost the franchise the Spider would still be going there.

Desira Hayes has only been Desira for about a year and a half, in that time a lot of time and effort and money has been put in to sort out the previous owners failures. Although I cant say how much things have improved, I do know Desira is dedicated to having the best customer satisfaction possible, hopefully you can experience that yourself. PS I work for Desira Norwich.

I have an imported 156 and took it to Perrys in Aylesbury for some warranty work when I first got it - broken fuse box and squeeky front suspension. The service manager was really helpful and both things were fixed first time - service manager even came out with me to listen to the squeek!

It's not been in for as service yet so I can't comment on that but they do service my girlfriends bravo 1.8 HLX and we've had no problems there either. The thing blew it's heater matrix the other day - it took them a week to fix but that was the usual delay in waiting for parts!
