Saw your question in the newbie bit and started to reply technically - sorry forum its late and I should be asleep. Anyway, as stated above go ask the garage to sort it by buying, borrowing or hiring some proper cam lock tools to set the engine timing properly. If its far out there is a definite risk of valve contact again so watch that too. The other suggestion is whether they have hooked up the timing variator properly too - depends if they took the variator actually off the inlet cam or not and is the solenoid re-connected properly. You can see this on the top of the engine just behind the inlet camshaft housing and slightly off-centre - two electrical contacts should have a connector attached. Easy to check as a first step.
