I'm the kind of driver who prefers a relaxed drive (low revs, low sound of the engine, low windsounds etc.) instead of the fast one (RICO JFDD, you were the one who did 200+ in the Kennedy-tunnel in Antwerp? Respect man, I think I could never do that! Fly low, but stay on the ground.....with all four wheels!). But I think my relaxed driving style is courtesy of my personallity, but also of the amount of speed controls here in Holland (we have got a lot of them!).
A couple of years ago I went with a friend of mine to Italy. I had a VW Golf IV 1.6 back then (sorry, that was before I converted to Alfanism!). We were driving in Germany, pedal-to-the-metal and the speedometer showed 200 km/h. Then an Audi A4 Avant 1.9 TDI (I think with 110 bhp), travelling at the same speed came in front of us and we caught him in the slipstream! The speedometer went very slowely to 210 km/h! As it was nighttime I could SEE his dashboard and the speedometer, because they were lit!
Afterwards I think this was very stupid of me, because the Audi driver had only to get his foot from the gas and.....I just don't want to think about what could happen!
But then again nothing happened, so I silently still relish the moment!
When we drove back home, we went through Marseille, France. I think it was l'autoroute du soleil and I repeated the trick again....210 km/h on the speedometer, this time with no traffic in front of me!
I don't need no one to tell me about heaven, I look at my son and daughter and I believe.
