On a slightly different note. I have the Bose with the factory fitted Blaupaukt 10CD interchanger. Does everybody have that infuriating delay waiting for the CD to initialise. Takes about 2 minutes. Is this right. All the interchangers Ive had b4 have stored the CD position even when the engine is turned off.
Please be aware that if you change the head unit you will loose the use of the steering wheel radio controls. As far as I am aware there are no compatible head units or adaptors available for the 147. This is because all the info for controlling the radio is sent through the CANBUS. This is some new encoding technology where all sorts of communication and info (indicators, brakes etc)is sent down 2 wires instead of the usual thick wiring loom. Even Blaupunkt cannot supply a head unit that will use the remote buttons, yet.
The only option would be to strap-on one of the aftermarket steering wheel controllers, but that would not look so cool!!
