parts lookup system?

Is there such a thing avaiable to us punters? My 156 sportwagon 2.4JTD has provoked some debate from parts suppliers and alfa specialists about the exact configuration of clutch and flywheel is has and/or needs, and I'd like to get to the truth myself, if at all possible.

The bloke who I have most confidence in mentioned a parts lookup system which allows you to type in the chassis number and engine number and then tells you everything it was built with and requires. However, he's a bit difiocult to get hold of, and I'm getting frustrated waiting for him to get a freee moment every day...

Any clues?

You need ePER, check ebay you'll probably find copies for sale there. I remember there being a link about where somebody had put it online but I don't have it to hand.
