Immobilisor override?

Hi guys, hoping someone is gonna be able to help on this.

I recently had to leave my 147 stationary for a few weeks, came back to it at the weekend to find the battery had gone flat. No problem, charged it up again, but now unable to start it - trying both keys give me the dreaded CODE warning / engine immobilz.

Obviously my 'freindly' not that local dealer wants me to bring it in to them (on a flatbed as they wont divulge the emergency start code) which is would like to avoid if possible!

So any ideas on whether its possible to reset the ECU to recognise my keys?

Re: Immobilisor override?

You can't do this yourself but I think you can start the car with the start code and some pumping on the gas pedal. Check your manual for emergency starting proceedures. I think David C wrote the procedure up on here just recently. Try a few more searches.
Alfa will sell you the code for about £11 on proof of car ownership.
