Silly Question No1

When I first got my 147 I went out to play with all the lights and stuff in the dark and thought my front fog lights weren't working. I hadn't realised that what I thought were the fogs were of course the front indicators and what were the indicators were the fogs! I always thought that fog lights had to be mounted low to "see" under the fog. Is it just an "Alfa quirk" and I'm being a bit daft or am I right about where fog lights should be fitted?
Hardly ever use them any way not like all those Be-em drivers!

147's fog lights are one of the best i ve seen. They are fully adjusted (up-down-left-right) and they dont blind drivers at the opposite side.

It doesnt matter the are fitted high, fog lights are based on narrow beam to pass through the fog, not on their position.

Actually they dont work much as fog lights, but more like side lights, useful when u take short turns at night on mountain roads.

Have u ever seen a 147 at night in your mirror only with its fog lights on?? It looks so scary!! Your first thought is to move right and let the beast pass!! Try it. Very cool!

Disagree. Fog lights need to be as far fom the axis of the eye as possible, other wise the water droplets reflect the light back on the same angle and 'light up', (same principle as cats eyes).

A lot of modern cars are changing the position of their fog lites to within the light clusters....

Dont the whole VW range have this now... I know their not on their bumpers anymore!!! Good!! Cos I hate people who drive with their Fogs on thinking they look cool!!!

Anyway, if you have ever driven an 156 (like I did), you know why the foglights are know higher.
With the 156 the glasses of the foglights in de front spoiler area get broken very quickly by small stones on the road, especially highway (steenslag as we dutch call it).

I think turnlights are cheaper to replace wink again good for the Dutch ...
