the problem with going for a cossie, pulsar or prezza is that they are indeed cheap to buy, but god help you when they go wrong as like all these cars it's not the buying that costs the money, it's the running costs that will cripple you.
If you smoke the engine in any one of those you are probably in for £1000 to £1500 at the very least, and if the engine takes the turbo with it then that will be 2k all in.
I almost dont want to say the following words due to the way things are on this site, but have you considered an m3 or m5 as those things are bullet proof?
If it was my money then I would be doing what a few have suggested and that is to either buy, or build yourself a kit car, you wont get anything that is a better all rounder for the money.
