A couple of quick questions (Preparing for belt change)
I have been trying to search for exact answers for a few questions, and have answered a few, but couldn't find the answers to 3 (I am useless at searching, my girlfriend is great on google but she is asleep!)
I inspected my belt, and it didnt seem in bad condition at all (wear marks above the teeth in the gears, but the belt teeth looked good, and couldnt see any signs of wear / cracks / damage).
Also, the tensioner is a white one. From what I understand - this is the stronger upgraded one right? I have got FSH in the service book, but not too many reciepts, so haven't any proof of the belt being changed. However - if its got a white tensioner, does this mean it must have been changed? (Car registered April 2000, 2.0)
Does the MAF from a 1.8 car fit a 2.0 car? I would assume that it doesn't but am not sure.
And finally, I have ordered myself a set of cam locks, variator removal tool and a cambelt tensioner adjustment tool. Is there anything else that is needed? I have a pretty good toolbox already, and will be doing the work at a friend's go kart track, meaning there should be most of the popular (and some of the less popular) tools available. Need to buy a new torque wrench though, not impressed with my one that I currently have.
Cheers again guys!
