JTS on 3 cylinders

Yesterday my 156 2.0JTS had the Motor Control system Failure light and message come on. At first the message would disappear from the display for a while, then it became constant. I've had this twice before and both times the garage has replaced a lambda sensor. This time though, it is only running on 3 cylinders, or at least it is at low speeds (including idle), but it seemed ok on the motorway. I've tried dis-connecting each coil pack in turn, and it is no.1 cylinder that's not firing, but swapping coil and spark plug with no.2 doesn't move the fault. Also the plug was black but quite dry, so I'm thinking it could be an injector problem?? Any ideas, and also, where are the injectors?!

Re: JTS on 3 cylinders

I had this fault once on my last warrantied 156 and they replaced the coilpack.

Doesn't appear to be the case for you, but just wanted to show your thinking wasn't off!
