The big difference is just the sheer volume of cars over here. I never used to have a problem flying along the N3 in my 2.0 Sabre !! (Now that was a car!)[/QB]
I know what you mean. During the April school holidays, I had the family over to the UK on holiday. We covered the southern areas, went to Salisbury, Bath, Oxford, then went up to the Lakes district, followed Hadrian's wall from one end to the other, went up to Edinburgh, came down to York, and then eventually ended in London.
We did 1800 miles during the trip, and even though the motoring was quite fun, you guys in the UK do not have the opportunities the same way we have it down here.
On quite a few occasions I have managed to go beyond 200. Recently I checked out whether it was "clean" enough between Johannesburg and Heidelberg, and on my return opened the GTV up to an indicated 255.
The sound of the animal at that speed is quite intoxicating, and apparently the GTA is even better. I cannot wait to lay my grubby little paws on one of them.
