I got it!
Now, there were a couple of things wrong with it, so maybe the car isnt a 'bargain', but since i will do the work myself, shouldnt be too much to sort.
Cambelt needs replacement - can see record of this every being changed (67,000 miles), though has had full service history, so either the owner is very lucky, or it has been changed but no reciept.
Will need 2 front tyres, will change those when i get to bulgaria
passenger front electric window doesnt go up - driver has to do it. might be able to repair switch, else will replace.
The headlamps have lost about half of their protective film, so the top half looks dull not shiny and clear. however, was planning to do the GTA style lights anyway, so will probably buy a set.
And finally - it has a sports exhaust. When making progress, the exhaust sounded absolutely beautiful, really nice and fruity! however everywhere else (motorway, city) it was a bit annoying. I will change that some point.
Got the dealer down to £1400 in the end - i think if i pushed a little harder, maybe £1350, possibly even £1300, however at the time, i thought great, thats £600 off! in hindsight i should have pushed a bit harder. nevermind though!
MOT + Tax until January, FSH (all but 1 at main alfa dealer), all manuals, and it is in great condition (a couple of stone chips, undertray missing, but otherwise excellant, not a mark on it!)
So, i know it was a bit more than i should have paid, but the heart spoke!
