Re: Warranty or no warranty ..??
Forget it, save the money.
My local indie has given up taking on any warranty work because they're so much hassle to deal with.
Warranty companies more often than not slap on maximum labour rates and maximum payouts for fixed jobs forcing you to either pay half yourself or take it to a backstreet el cheapo garage who will work for £20 an hour.
I've had 2 cars with extended warranties, one from Black Horse, one from Mobility and they do everything they can to wriggle out of paying a penny and delay things as far as they can with excuses and diversion tactics. Even when they do admit they have to pay out they try and screw everything they can - example - on a turbo strip down and recon, £500 job they were trying everything they could to get out of paying for a £10 gasket!
These 3rd party warranties aren't worth the paper they're written on in my experience.
