Re: Damn! Selespeed
I used to get a 'Selespeed system failure' warning on cold damp mornings. Allowing the car to tick over for 5 mins would warm things up and the warning would clear, i was always able to select 1st, 2nd and reverse as normal. As the car aged the problem was more frequent, still under cold conditions. I found that by, when warming up on the drive, changing though the available gears for a minute or two would again clear the problem. This problem was occasionally accompanied by oth warning lights such as ABS and VDC failure, but these usually disappeared within minutes on the road.
I know it's summer (alledgedly) so the above may be entirely useless as it was the winter weather my car was disagreeing with!
I would advise getting it checked out at a decent indie.
