my take on the 147 air con is its OK, not brilliant, but capable of keeping the car comfortable on a hot Australian summers day, say around 35 degrees C. However it does have a mind of its own and sometimes I would like more cooling and the fan is only on the lowest setting and the air is not being recirculated. Turn it off and try again and the fan speeds up to something more comfortable. But usually I just set it to 18 degrees and leave it there, just turning the compressor off now its approaching winter here in Australia and the morning temps are around 6 or 7 degrees, at least here in Canberra.

But by and large I am quite happy with the performance of the air con. As I said, not the best air I've ever had, but its adequate. The climate control is a good concept, but it does have a mind of its own. I can't imagine a properly functioning system would be a problem in Europe...
