Press Material and techno-info 147
If anyone needs information on 147, my dealer in the long struggle to persuade me to buy (well you have to make them work for their money), very generously gave me ALL of the press, marketing and technical info on the 147 that only the dealerships get from launch up to date. As an amusing aside, According to Alfa marketeers owners of a 147 fit between 30 and 45 years of age, have no children (70%) and income in excess of £35k per year often over £50K, own their own homes and are classified as Youthful Urbanites. We like sports, music and have a propensity to travel with above average holidays to places we choose and arrange ourselves. We want style, robustness and performance. Interestingly the reader of this booklet was meant to be dealer staff. there is a huge emphasis on CUSTOMER SERVICE and the need to improve drastically Alfa standing in this area at both dealer and national levels. It would be interesting to see their CSI results since launch. If its had the same effect as introducing Voyager, Neon & PT Cruiser had on Jeep dealerships they are going through a pretty steep learning curve.Citroen went through this when they introduced the BX in the 80's. Limited, almost dying brands that get a shot in the arse suddenly find themselves on a heady roller coaster of high sales in an unfamiliar area, new, more demanding customers less tolerant of failure and a service department that can barely cope with the demand or the massive technical knowledge required to get on top of problems.
The ususal answer is unbelievably generaous goodwill from customer services to smooth the road and then a toughening up as goodwill expense gets out of hand.
If any of you Youthful Urbanites would like any copies of the information I'll do what I can to oblige.
