Re: 156 Electric problem??

sounds like a possible earth problem, check and clean the altermator connections and the earth from the battery where it connects to either the body or engine

Re: 156 Electric problem??

does it switch off and show all lights on the dash, like a stall, or does it switch everything off and go completely dead?

if everything goes off, that there is a short-circuit.

Maybe, but I've also seen this when the ignition barrel plug on the steering column has come loose.
