With regard dash rattle is later models - just run a check on whether your ears are pointing you in the wrong direction.
I had very same problem. But it turned out to be a rattle where the ceiling trim meets the windscreen. Just push your fingers under this to see how badly fitted it is.
Anyhoo, a quick stuffing with some sponge put an end to it. But until I discovered this by accident, I was absolutely convinced it was coming from the dash. May not be the same with yours.
With the stereo rattle, sticking some felt strips (very thin) to sides rectified that one. Must be quite thin as fit is tight. BUT ALFA!!! Plastic on plastic don't go.
Funny really, the price we pay for these cars, and it comes down to blue tack, felt and sponge.
PS: How could someone in London get rattles, your roads are like silk? Have you seen ours?
