The infamous expanding aluminium clip that rattles was fixed today. The Finnish mechanic had never been asked to fix one but upon driving my 156 seemed to know what to do. It was free and took 1 hr or less and in which time I took a 147 1.6 for a spin. Liked it in the main, a bit of a "sit up and beg" driving position and I much prefer the 156 interior (147 too many colours, textures, materials). Great performance for a 1.6 though.
Also drove a 156 V6 for a while. Awesome, I had only driven briefly before and now I have seen the light. The GTA will be the second coming, don't care what people say about M3's, Scoobies, S4's etc...
Only bad part of my visit to my local showroom was the price I was quoted for 4 mudflaps - 110€ and 6000€ for a 60,000 km service- Is this normal?
p.s. He also told me that rattling windows are fixed/helped by putting silicon on the seals.
