Painting Center Console
I've literally just (this morning) removed my well worn stock 156 gearknob with a lovely silver jobbie from Richbrook.
It looks awesome - but there's one slight problem. The center console itself is a kind of dark titanium colour. I was aiming to replace it at some point anyway, because the previous owner has managed to spill *something* all over it, and despite my best efforts it just wont clean up.
As it doesn't match the gearknob in the slightest, I'm now considering spray painting the whole thing in a flat silvery colour to match.
Has anyone tried this / does anyone have any paint recommendations?
I've got to pull the console apart in the near future anyway to replace a dead bulb behind the petrol gauge, so will aim to do it at the same time.
For reference the colour I want is basically like the Apple MacBook Pro colour - matt silver.
Thanks for any advice on this!
