Fuel tank error?
Yesterday I refuelled my Alfa 147 JTD with 57,00 liters of diesel. After I started the engine (after I paid ofcourse , I noticed a beep coming from the board computer indicating that the fuel tank was low on fuel. The fuel-light was yellow, as though the car was running on reserve fuel.
Because I found it strange (this is the third time I refuelled and normally after starting the engine (after refuelling), the fuel gauge goes up very fast to indicate the fuel tank is full), I stopped and started the engine again and the same problem persisted.
As I drive an Alfa I thought "a what the hell", I know the fuel tank is full, so I drove away. Then I noticed the fuel gauge was going very very slowly up until it indicated that the fuel tank was full. This took about half an hour. I thought that maybe there was air in the fuel tank or something like that, but I don't know how the mechanism of the fuel gauge works, so I really don't have any idea about this issue.
As it happened yesterday, I'll refuel during the next couple of days to see if the problem comes back. Has anybody else experienced this "Alfa-feature"?
