Re: Credit where credit is due
I can honestly say that I agree with Geoff. I had my aircon topped up by Kwik Fit but to their credit, they did it, in the time promised and for the price promised.
That was 8 weeks ago and the air con is still very cold when I have to use it. I normally only put it on once a week or so just to keep it moving around but when its on, it works and works well.
I dont like Kwick fit, I have to be honest as I have had many a bad experience there with them thinking that people who use Kwick fit dont know about cars. Many years ago I had an XR2 that needed the brakes doing and they had a 'Free Brake Inspection' offer on so I thought I know, I get them to check it out and tell me what they think is needed. My own reckoning suggested, rear shoes, 1 rear cylinder and front pads and new fluid. Parts would cost about £150.
Kwik fit reckoned, rear shoes, rear drums, both reay cylinders, front disks, front pads, both front calipers, new master cylinder so Kwikfit quoted £680 + vat!
Needless to say, I laughed loudly at them and walked out!
