Finally received the car!
I just started this discussion, because I'm so happy I finally received my Alfa 147. The car is marvellous! I have a 1.9 JTD Distinctive with 5 doors and it drives wonderfully! I also have the CD-changer (finally I can listen to some CD's!) and the volume-buttons on the steering wheel, which work very well. It didn't take me long to get used to the buttons. And of course the climatronic gives the interiour a nice warm glow.
And the engine is the true jewel of this car! I've never driven such a silent diesel in my life (and I have had some!). The power, the torque, it's unbelievable. And no vibrations at all. When driving, the engine sounds like there's a 1.6 T-Spark in the motorcompartment.
The car doesn't have any problems at all (keep my fingers crossed?), except for the front roof light: it doesn't work well when I open the car with the remote control or the front doors - sometimes the lights go on and sometimes they don't. But since I came from a Volkswagen Golf IV (where the light ALWAYS work) to the Alfa 147 I thought this isn't bad at all.
I remember I got a "BMW-feeling" driving around in my first new car three years ago (Volkswagen Golf 1.6 Comfortline).
When I received my Alfa 147 the day before yesterday and I stepped in the car, I forgot about the "BMW-feeling" that was peanuts! I felt like I was driving in a Bentley! (although chances are I'll never sit in one!). Then I thought, if this is the "Alfa-feeling" people are talking about in the forums, I simply stick with this feeling and get addicted to it!
Well I think I'll just go on starring to the beautiful car which is parked in front of the office and thinking: "when is it time to go home! I want to drive! I want to drive!".
Just a story from a very happy alfaowner!

I don't need no one to tell me about heaven, I look at my son and daughter and I believe.
