<Hands 147owner his Teddy back>
I suggest you re-read my posts before you start spouting your ill-informed opinion.

1)I have owned 2 Alfa Romeos (GTV 2.0ts, 156 2.0ts).
2)I have made no direct comparisons between BMW's and Alfa Romeos on this BBS apart Dealer service and build quality (both issues I feel strongly about). I RESPONDED to a comparison made by wrinx and G147 in jest on this thread.
3)Where did I say that the BMW was nearly perfect?
4)I have not intentionally put down any Alfa owners. One of my posts was misinterpreted as an insult so I stated that it was not meant as such straight away.
We get the point. You think BMWs are better than Alfa Romeos. Good for you. You have the money to make the choice, and I am happy for you. I'd like an M3 too, but at nearly $A150,000 it's out of my league.
5)Where did I say that BMW are better CARS than Alfa Romeo. The Dealer service and build quality is. That point has been agreed by several members on this forum. I made some FWD vs RWD comments on this thread but it was in jest (note the smilies)
A real enthusiast does not spend time putting down the choices of other enthusiasts. Be it a Morris Minor, a Borgward Isabella or an EH Holden, we all share a passion for motor vehicles and we should all appreciate what we have in common: the passion.
6)I agree entirely with this statement. I am genuinely interested as to why other people stick with the Alfa brand despite the various problems they have. I decided it wasn't worth it myself and changed brands.
The constant flaming and childish put downs are becoming boring. If I owned a BMW, I would spend my time at BMW forums. A friend of mine has 91 535 manual, a beatiful car which he likes very much, but he would be the first to say, it's not perfect , having had niggling electrical problems, mechanical failures and various dash rattles. The thing is we both enjoy each others cars and don't put each other down because of the vehicles we own.
7) Have you read any UK based BMW forums? Most of them are Badge snobs who are more interested in which 'phat' wheels to put on their 318's than driving them. Most of the people on there are more interested in how quickly they can destroy a set of tyres and how they can squeeze 200bhp out of an engine. Who would you rather talk to?
8) I use smilies on my 'childish' comments to indicate a joke. If you had read the posts you are commenting on you would have noticed that these comments were thrown both ways and they were taken in the spirit they were intended. Try getting a sense of humour, you might like it!
Similarly, the organiser of the local Alfa club (Montreal V8) also has an BMW X5 and he is an active member of the BMW club as well. I'd like to see Pain contribute like the enthusiast he claims to be, rather than just troll.
Perhaps 147owner can appreciate that car enthusiasts can drive cars other than Alfas and a bit of good hearted banter is a part of it.
