Are my tyres on the wrong way round?
Today whilst checking the tyre pressures on my 147 2.0TS with 17" SuperSport alloys, I made the rather alarming discovery that the 215/45R17 Pirelli P7000s they are shod in may be the wrong way around.
These tyres have a directional tread pattern, and the little arrow on the sidewall, which I'd never noticed before, is pointing in a clockwise direction (i.e, if the arrow is at the top of the wheel, then it is pointing towards the back of the car.) Now, I'm no tyre expert, but surely if the arrow is meant to point in the direction of travel then it should be pointing anti-clockwise? (top of wheel = pointing to nose of car)
Can somebody who knows these things confirm this for me? If so I think my plan of attack will be to go back to the dealer and request new rubber all round.
