Gt Boot Rattle

When i first got my 08 Gt i had horrendous rattles from the boot area,
after many trips to the dealer to get it sorted,it is about 90% perfect.

They did all the usual silicon fixes and boot realignments, but ocasionally the rattle returns!

I have found that the upper brake light housing seems to work loose and when tightened the rattle seems to stop, it does need to keep being done every so often!
I have also found that running the tyres at just 1Bar less than the hand book says greatky improves things( general driving comfort too).

Re: Gt Boot Rattle

I was also going mad by the sound of a rattle coming from the boot. I pinned the noise down to the spring buffers on the edge of the boot that makes contact with the body. If you rattle them gently when the boot is open, you'll know what I mean. I went to B&Q for some plumbers rubber washers of the same diameter as the rubber caps and about 4mm thick, superglued them to the caps and hey presto, no more rattle.
