Mis Reporting light failures on Start up?

Try reading your manual very very carefully in regards to start up and shut down to remedy this.

Foot on the brake, turn key one stop, wait for computer to finish checks, wait a few more seconds then start up. (Helps if you keep hold of the key at all time otherwise the ignition can lock and you have to start again)

The light errors tend to occur if you start then engine approx 1 second after the computer check has finished, if you wait another few seconds then start the errors tend not to occur.

Turning off - foot on brake, turn engine off - keep foot on brake and do not remove key until Multi Function Display goes off.

I have certainly had fewer odd electrical errors after following this procedure religiously.

Fine, but we are in the 21st century. Is it beyond the capablities of Alfa to build a car in which you turn the key and go?
Performance, character and RELIABILITY - too much to ask for?

Well said Moose.

BTW: you'll have to change your car description in your profile now that you have a manual 147!
