156 Oil Leak

Hello all, more of a reader than a poster here but I need some of your guys advice please.
I have a 2004 (facelift) 156 1.8 TS Veloce and the car is great to drive but it drips oil onto my newly laid monoblock drive and it's driving me a little nuts . It's not much of a leak at all really but it is staining the drive. It always seems to come from the offside front corner (just sorta in line with the offside front wheel but in a little).
Any ideas where exactly it could be coming from and suggestions for a fix would be great!
Thanks - Neil.

Re: 156 Oil Leak

Firstly check the cam cover gasket. It is a very common leak point, and the oil often seeps out, runs down the engine and onto the floor. Making it look like the leak is coming from elsewhere.

If it isn't that it may be the seals on the gearbox seals, where the drive shafts pass through.

have a sniff of the oil, it should be obvious if it is gear oil.
