Help VDC System Failure & Wheel Noise - HELP!

Hi to everyone!

I bought my 2nd Alfa Romeo 156 just yesterday. On travelling the long journey back from Nottingham to Newcastle (about 40 miles in) I got a VDC system failure warning and "take to dealer display".

Another problem (maybe related - maybe a coincidence?) was a screeching noise which got progressively louder (i think from the passenger side front wheel).

When the car was pulled off the road and restarted the warning lights dissapeared and the screeching was no more. However, this whole process repeated itself about 6 times on the way home.

It has just had the following work done and I wonder if it has anything to do with the problem. Also the steering wheel is considerably off centre to get the car to travel in a straight line.

- New timing belt
- Fit new n/s/f upper arm
- New front anti roll bar

Sorry for the wordy explanation. Hopefuly there is someone out there that can help?
